CAROL A. SILVA

SILVA, CAROL A., 80, of Coventry, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2026. Carol was the beloved wife of Richard C. Silva, and the couple would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this April. 

Born in Providence, Carol was a daughter of the late Bernardo and Elvera (DeSisto) DellaVentura.

After graduating from Mt. Pleasant High School, Carol was employed for over three decades at the former New England Telephone and NYNEX. She was a member of the IBEW Local 2323. 

Carol was a Communicant of Saints John and Paul Church, Coventry where she was very active in her parish community. As a Eucharistic Minister, Carol travelled to area nursing homes and assisted living centers. She was also very active in Coventry Girls Softball and loved travelling as often as possible, many times taking religious pilgrimages to sacred locations throughout the world. 

Besides her husband, Richard, Carol is survived by her loving daughters, Crista Gareau, and her husband Ronald, of West Warwick, Amy Keyes, and her husband Christopher, of Barrington. Adored grandmother of Joshua Gareau, Katarina Menasian (Alan), Samantha Keyes, and Benjamin Keyes. Carol is also survived by her beloved granddog, Gracie. Carol was the sister of the late Richard B. DellaVentura. She is also survived by her cousins, John B. DeSisto and Elaine Battista, and several nieces and nephews. 

Carol was a warm, kind, loving and generous person who touched many lives. She was loved by many and will be truly missed.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 8:30 Am - 10:30 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home AT MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (ROUTE 3), Coventry, Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Saints John and Paul Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry. Interment and Committal Prayers to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
